MG-1819
Late September light rests on the lighthouse lantern and the pale edges of clouds. Below, the inlet gathers overlapping lines of foam between its stone jetties. Palms crowd the shore, their curved fronds answering the sweep of the beach across the water. The tower stands against the horizon while each passing wave redraws the foreground.

MG-1164
Late September gathers around the shoreline in shades of silver and charcoal. Above the lighthouse, the moon holds a clear circle between drifting clouds, while the lantern shines below it. Palms lean over the narrow strip of land, and boats rest beside illuminated buildings. Across the water, the reflection breaks into small, shifting pieces, carrying the eye away from shore.

03
MG-1163
Late September gathers into bands of silver and charcoal. Above the lighthouse, a bright disc rests in an opening between clouds, almost touching the lantern’s pointed roof. Palms crowd the narrow shore while the sea stretches toward a level horizon. Across the foreground, light breaks into small, shifting fragments, making a passage that never quite holds still.

MG-0581
August light gathers on the waterfront, catching the edges of towers and the slender threads of bridge cables. Across the river, countless windows resolve into patterns of brightness and shade. Clouds spread above the buildings, their soft contours answering the rigid geometry below. The water loosens every reflection, letting the city's sharp lines dissolve into silver.

05
MG-1185
August gathers in the dense foliage surrounding the pool. Water slips over the upper bowl in fine, luminous threads, then falls in broader streams toward its reflection. Above it all, the winged figure holds a gesture that never finishes. Visitors linger along the far edge, small beneath the trees and sweeping clouds. In the foreground, leaves interrupt the reflected monument, and its solid shape loosens into ripples.

06
MG-1180
August fills the frame with leaves, their overlapping silhouettes sheltering the view. Beyond this shaded edge, oars reach across bright water and small boats carry people toward the open center of the lake. A crowd gathers along the distant terrace, its many figures reduced to a delicate rhythm of light and shadow. Above the canopy, towers stand sharply against the sky; below, their reflections loosen into ripples.

07
MG-1178
August light gathers on the water, breaking into bright fragments around the boats. Beneath the bridge, oars reach across the ripples while passengers sit close together in the narrow hulls. Above them, pedestrians punctuate the long ornamental railing. Dense leaves hold the banks in shade, and the arch briefly frames each boat's passage from darkness into light.

08
MG-1176
August light breaks into small silver strokes across the water. An umbrella tilts above the passengers, making a little shelter in the open air. The oar meets the surface with a brief splash, and widening ripples carry the movement away. Beyond the boat, people linger beneath the trees; here, the distance between two faces becomes the center of the afternoon.

09
MG-1175
August light finds the umbrella and rests along the boat’s narrow edges. Beneath its fabric, the passengers remain mostly hidden, their small shelter moving through alternating brightness and shade. The oar blades stir pale curls into the darker water. Behind the stern, reflections stretch and loosen as the boat passes.

10
MG-1174
August light falls through the leaves in uneven patches, brightening the water between boat and bank. An open umbrella makes a small shelter above the passengers, its pale folds distinct against the shade. The oars disturb the surface, leaving rings that widen beyond the hull. Across the water, people linger behind the landing's railings, separated from the boat by a shifting field of reflections.

MG-1173
August light breaks into silver fragments across the lake. Oars reach out from the boats, drawing narrow disturbances through the ripples. Beneath the full canopy, shade gathers along the bank while the towers stand clear above the trees. From behind the bridge railing, the city seems to loosen its hold: distance is measured in strokes of an oar.

MG-0516
On this May day, light spreads across the water in small, broken strokes. The bridge holds its two halves apart, leaving a clear passage beneath the restless-looking clouds. Along the docks, the yachts remain gathered close, their railings and antennae tracing delicate lines against the sky. For a moment, the interrupted road gives the waterway room to breathe.

MG-1493
In early December, light gathers on the wet faces of the stones. Water slips through the narrow spaces between them, its movement becoming a pale haze. Each rock holds a different surface to the light: smooth, hollowed, ridged, or rough. The wash returns, and the shore seems to breathe without shifting its weight.

14
MG-0568
In early December, the water lays a silver veil over the stones. Each exposed curve catches a little light; each hollow holds a darker trace. Small patches of rust and ochre interrupt the gray, drawing the eye back from the luminous wash. The stones remain distinct below, while farther into the frame their edges soften until there is almost nothing left to follow.

15
MG-0842
On this late-June day, clouds spread a pale canopy above the water. Small figures pause along the breakwater, their silhouettes scarcely taller than the stones around them. Beyond them, the bridge carries its slender line across the channel, while sailboats rest with their sails furled. Ripples fill the foreground, breaking the light into small, shifting marks.

16
MG-1420
In the May light, sand and masonry shine against the darker palms. Fine grass stems bend across the dune, their shadows drawing thin lines over its surface. Above them, the lighthouse holds its straight course into the open sky. A narrow glimpse of sea at the far left keeps the shore’s wider expanse just beyond the frame.

17
MG-1718
On this January day, light gathers in a break between clouds and scatters across the restless water. Flags lift above the masts, small dark gestures against the pale sky. Figures on deck remain close to the railings and ropes, their scale almost lost beneath the rigging. The vessel holds its place in the composition while sea and sky seem to extend beyond measure.

18
MG-0222
I framed the mill from beside the stream, letting the bridge enter from the left and the wheel anchor the opposite bank. What held my attention was the difference between surfaces: rough stone, long courses of timber, and water that would keep no fixed shape. I gave the current time to soften in the exposure. Beneath the fine tangle of branches, the building seemed to hold its place while the stream carried the moment onward.

19
MG-0191
I framed the tree to one side, leaving room for the bridge to stretch toward the horizon. Its repeating supports drew my eye across the water, but the crooked branches kept bringing me back to the shore. Between them lay a small pool, holding a quieter version of the sky. I wanted the photograph to preserve that balance: the long reach of something built, and the singular shape of something rooted.

20
MG-0127
I framed the flower with enough water around it to let the reflections remain part of the picture. The broad leaf on the left offered a rough, patterned edge; beside it, the petals seemed almost translucent. Looking through the camera, I was drawn to the small distance between the bloom and the surface. That slender lift of stem gave the flower its quiet separation from everything gathered in the water.

21
MG-0009
I framed the pier from the sand, letting its length lead my eye away from shore. At my feet, small strands of seaweed held their place while the water softened around the concrete supports. A passing figure on the railing became a faint trace, almost absorbed by the sky. I wanted to keep that difference in the photograph: the weight of what stays, and the lightness of what moves through.

MG-1348
Early November settles around the pond, spreading leaves across the grass and beneath the fence. Light catches the mill’s wooden boards and traces the wheel against the darker water. Below, a second roof points downward into the reflected trees. The stone path follows the bank out of sight, while the pond holds every visible line almost unbroken.

23
MG-1599
On the last day of October, the woodland opens into a fine mesh of branches and lingering leaves. Water slips around the rocks, its pale ribbons passing beneath the heavy bridge. The mill stands dark against the hillside, its wheel repeating the circles and crossings of a quieter mechanical world. Along the railings, timber and iron hold their measured lines while the stream continues without a straight edge.

24
MG-1598
On the last day of October, sparse leaves cling to the trees above the mill. Water slips around the foreground stones, its pale ribbons passing beneath the weight of the bridge. The wheel rests dark against weathered boards, each spoke distinct amid the overlapping beams. Between the stream’s soft movement and the firm stonework, the scene holds the quiet of autumn.

25
MG-1734
Late April light falls across the sand, tracing the edges of footprints that overlap on their way to the water. Beside the path, a life ring hangs beneath the number ten. Beyond it, small waves meet the shore, and figures gather along the beach and pier. The grasses fill the near view with fine, crossing lines; farther out, the sea leaves room for the eye to rest.

26
MG-0705
July light rests on the empty chairs and draws their slatted shadows across the terrace. Between them, the little table holds nothing but sunlight. A lone paddler occupies the open water, where faint ripples interrupt the sky’s reflection. Farther away, a sailboat’s slender mast marks the horizon. The seats remain open, offering a place to let the day pass without counting it.

27
MG-1740
April light breaks into small, bright fragments across the water. Beneath the bridge, each concrete pier holds its dark waterline while ripples pass around it. The eye follows one steel brace after another, counting until the intervals become too small to separate. Beyond that vanishing point, the horizon continues without a seam.
